GEOTEC is happy to announce the release of the first version of the ERMES Smart App. With the availability of the first stable ICT tool, rice farmers and field workers now dispose of a practical tool to record and document their field practices. The information provided will be vital input for the ERMES rice modelling solution to improve yield forecasts, and it will allow farmers to get a global overview of their farming practices and risks, and receive alerts and bulletins. All these will be supported by the ERMES geoportal, of which a first official release is planned shortly.
