Last week several events related to the 70th anniversary of the United Nations (UN) took place around the globe (http://www.un.org/un70/en). In Spain, UN Valencia headquarters, the anniversary was commemorated celebrating an open day in which young students from different schools and high schools had the chance to visit UN facilities. Students followed a guided tour where different activities developed by United Nations were explained. Another activity which took place, intended to involve and motivate students in innovation processes by showing them different technologies and innovative devices.

GEOTEC contributed to UN anniversary by showing some of the last technological developments with which the group is working. Devices such as Occulus Rift, Google Glasses or Cardboard were introduced for big excitement to the attendants. The experience was very rewarding for GEOTEC team, not only for having the opportunity to visit the base and meet the people who work there every day, but also by  discovering how children react to new developments and the use of advanced technologies.
