Michael Gould and Joaquín Torres-Sospedra represented GEOTEC in the kick-off meeting of the A-WEAR European Joint Doctorate (H2020-MSCA-ITN-2018, Grant Agreement no 813278) to discuss about the future of the project. Representatives from Academic (Tampere University, Universitea Politehnica din București, Università degli Studi Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, Universitat Jaume I, and Vysoké Učení Technické v Brně) and industrial (Ericsson, CITST, IDOM, Wirepas, Beia and Digital Living) partners joined the meetings, which took place on February 13th and 14th at Tampere University in Finland.

The first day was devoted to main organizational tasks involving the academic and industrial partners. The focus of the second day was given to the collaboration strategies between involved universities, potential training events and mobility of the ESR.

We are happy to announce that during that meeting we agreed to extend the application deadline for the 15 ESR positions until Sunday, March 17th, 2019!
