@geotecUJI fights against #COVID19 by using #ArtificialIntelligence and #GIS technologies
GEOTEC research group (http://geotec.uji.es) coordinated by Professor JoaquÃn Huerta, is participating in a study conducted by the Commissioner of the Generalitat Valenciana, Nuria Oliver, on the use of Artificial Intelligence against COVID-19. The aim of this project is to analyse and anticipate the measures that are being put in place to stop the coronavirus pandemic.
The team examines the mobility of people by analysing data provided by mobile phone operators to determine the impact that mobility may have had on the contagion and to study what would be the most effective measures to prevent it, with the aim of adopting measures as far in advance as possible. The observation and study of the mobile data, which are “aggregated and anonymous”, will be carried out while the state of alarm is in force.
In addition to the data monitored, there is also a need to collect direct information from citizens by a survey . The study promoted by GVA from its AI strategy has the support of the Spanish government and is replicable anywhere in Spain, and count on the support of companies such as Walhalla or Esri Spain
