ACE-GIS

Adaptable and Composable E-commerce and Geographic Information Services

Short Description

Adaptable and composible e-commerce and geographic services. Funded by the European Union IST programme. IST2001-37724. 2001-2004.ACE-GIS created a toolkit of commercial and free software modules which can help web services producers to better assure conformance and interoperability during the workflow generation and service composition cycles. The test cases used and successfully demonstrated at a project seminar in Zaragoza Spain (Sept 2004) and at the final project review (Sept 2004) were in environmental planning and emergency management. The geotec research group at UJI created the project portal (public and protected spaces), and also produced free software versions of Web Map Server and Web Feature Server conformance tests. These tests (servlet source) have been donated to the Geoserver project.

GEOTEC’s contribution

GEOTEC participated in the project as member of the research group at UJI and web service composition was his PhD thesis topic. The group created the project portal (public and protected spaces), and also produced free software versions of Web Map Server and Web Feature Server conformance tests. These tests (servlet source) have been donated to the Geoserver project.
