The JRC ELISE 2020 lot 1 “Leveraging the power of location information and technologies to improve public services at local level: an EU-wide analysis”, provides a mapping and critical analysis of recent initiatives, emerging solutions and possible impacts of innovative use of location-based data and technologies for public services at EU local and regional level, and suggest possible future pathways for the evolution.

The role of GEOTEC is to set up and maintain the database of use cases of innovative use of location-based data and technologies for public services in Europe – as generated during the project – and to develop a visualisation tool that allows to search, filter and visualise these case studies using a synchronized map- and list-based view.
