17th AGILE Conference on GI Science Castellón Spain Connecting a Digital Europe through Location and Place
The AGILE conference brings together geographic information researchers to meet and exchange ideas and experiences at the European level. The conferences are used to initiate and stimulate AGILE Initiatives on specific subjects of special interest within the GI community.
The 17th International Conference on Geographic Information Science was held from June 3rd-6th 2014 in Castellón, Spain. The conference’s program featured a full line up of events including pre?conference workshops, keynote sessions, parallel paper presentation sessions and a poster session to share ideas, and to explore on?going research and future developments, including state?of?the?art applications; also other networking and cultural activities took place during the conference. Two hundred international participants were able to meet together to observe and analyze the role Geographic Information Science and Technology can play to connect European universities, research centres, industry, government and citizen in the digital information age.
