GEOTEC presents the “Smart” projects
Last Wednesday, the Smart Campus project was presented at the Universitat Jaume I with the presence of the university’s rector, Vicent Climent and the mayor of Castellón, Alfonso Bataller. The purpose of this event was to demonstrate the new “Smart” platform for sustainable management of the Jaume I University. The Smart Campus can already be used by both students and university staff.
In addition to Smart Campus, the different projects related with Smart Cities that Geotec is involved, such as Smart Ways, were presented. This project facilitates “Smart” parking and lighting management by using sensors.
Finally, Geotec announced the beginning of the international doctoral program <Marie Curie Initial Training Works>. Geotec is going to work together with the University of Münster (Germany) and the Nova University of Lisbon (Portugal). It will be the first international PhD on Smart Cities.
