Antonio Medrano visiting professor in the Geospatial technologies master
F. Antonio Medrano is a GEOTEC visiting faculty in the Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in Geospatial Technologies. He received his Ph.D. in Geography form the University of California, Santa Barbara (2014), where he specialized in geospatial analysis and spatial optimization. His research involved developing more efficient algorithms and high-performance computing methods for solving spatially diverse shortest path alternatives and multi-objective shortest paths on raster data. He is now working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Spatial Studies at UCSB, researching how university libraries can better enable open sharing of and discovery of spatial data.
F. Antonio Medrano is visiting our lab from September to October 2015. As an expert in GIS, especially in spatial analysis and optimization, he will be lecturing these topics in the Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in Geospatial Technologies.
