GEOTEC presented the Geoportal and Smart App at the Greek Open Day on the 2nd of December 2015 in Thessaloniki, Greece, where around 50 local rice farmers and other agricultural representatives (cooperatives, authorities) were present. Both applications are being developed in the context of the EU FP7 project ERMES, and are aimed to make the rice cultivation process more efficient and sustainable. Starting from March 2016, they will be deployed in field studies, involving Greek, Italian and Spanish farmers.
