During this month, Geotec has the pleasure to host Andres Muñoz. He is lecturing an Arcgis Server course in the Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in Geospatial Technologies.

Andrés Muñoz received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia in Colombia in 2005, and a Master’s in Geographic Information Science from University of Minnesota in the United States in 2008. He started his GIS career working for ESRI Inc in Redlands California developing and promoting GIS Solutions to industries such as Water Utilities, Transportation, Telco and Emergency Management. After 5 years in the private sector Andres moved to Florida to start a new path in his career now working for a US local government agency, the City of Hollywood. At the City of Hollywood in Florida, Andres manages the city’s GIS System supporting city departments in the use of GIS for data collection, analysis, and dissemination through web mapping applications.
