The 12th Annual International Technology, Education and Development Conference, INTED2018 is being held in Valencia this week with the moto “Rethinking learning in  a connected age”. GEOTEC was part of the session Emerging Technologies in Education , with the work: Escape Room Videogame to learn and Practice Different Writing Systems introduced by Ignacio Miralles.

The presented poster shows the development of a videogame to practice writing systems. The feedback received from the attendees was good: identifying some possible improvements such as accessibility; having it published in web format, or suggesting to conduct coordinated experiments with education specialists.

In general, the technological sessions featured interesting experiments whose common aim was to motivate and encourage students’ work during the classes. No specific references to geolocalization were found. However there were several works about virtual reality and videogames, two areas with an increasing close relationship with education.
