#Cesri19: in a (very small) nutshell
Yesterday, the ESRI Spain conference closed its most recent edition held at IFEMA, Madrid. There were two days (28-29 October) full of talks, workshops, round tables and technical sessions about ESRI solutions and their applications to different domains. @geotecUJI researchers attended, as every year, to this interesting event. Here you can find their impressions in a nutshell about this year’s edition.
“We have finally seen the takeoff of the Indoors GIS (with ArcGIS Indoors) and an indoor location demo” JoaquÃn Huerta
“There is an increasing interest in the integration and interoperability between BIM and ArcGIS” Francisco Ramos
“ESRI highlighted the slogan “See what others can’t see” that positions GIS as a tool for decision-making in organizations from a perspective that only using geography is achieved”…”Also during the conference, we talked about how GIS are linked to technological trends such as artificial intelligence, IoT and digital transformation” Juan Camilo Esguerra
“It is always valuable to meet and talk to GIS users from diverse sectors such as local administration, education, start-up companies, and business partners. There are many innovative GIS applications underway in Spain, in areas such as autonomous vehicles, multimodal mobility, and machine learning for problem solving” Michael Gould
Also nice to see former GEOTEC members and had the time to chat with them!
