Our colleague Sergi Trilles is doing a research stay at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV – www.urv.cat) in Tarragona, from September 2019 to March 2020. Sergi joined to GRATET research group, located in URV Vila-seca Campus (a town between Tarragona and Reus).

Although it could be thought that GRATET, as a geography research group,  seems not to be close to geospatial technologies, multiple connections between both groups have been already raised. During six months, Sergi’s main objective is to enlarge our synergies and to establish future collaborations either in National or European actions between both groups.  The first shared activity is a mobility analysis with the data provided by the “Autoritat Territorial de la Mobilitat” (ATM – www.atmcamptarragona.cat) using smart cards for bus trips.
