The power of collaboration, teamwork and the participation of multidisciplinary groups has been the success of three research groups of the Universitat Jaume I de Castellón in their fight against COVID-19 for being awarded with Onda Cero Award for Science and Research.

During the hardest times of the Pandemia, the lockdown, @geotecUJI, GIANT research group, and Shape analysis and Artificial Intelligence group at UJI joined forces with other researchers – led by Commissioner of the Generalitat Valenciana, Nuria Oliver – to fight against COVID-19 by the analysis of big data and the use of artificial intelligence

This study which is still active – has been a useful tool to take effective measures and prevent new pandemic spikes. Results of the project could be seen at http://w3.argos.gva.es/es/encuestas/covid-19

We are very proud to receive public ackowledgement about the work we do, however the most important for us is to apply our knowledge and know-how to real societal problems.
